how do, baby brother. how do!
i just had a very successful and happy weekend down at u of i visiting sarawr.

I liked the corn maze a lot, but I did not like the lack of pumpkin treats for sale.
There was a stuffed cat for sale in the gift shop (freaked me out.)
There were also five $10 REAL kittens for sale....hmmm, on second thought, I probably should have bought all those real kittens....
sarah and i really ought to talk more often...maybe i can try my hand at being a "phone person" for a while and see how that goes...either that or she just needs to get gchat. regardless, she's one of my favorite people and that will never change.
we had some late night catch-ups,
some delicious food,
some heavy metal ice-cubes,

some boutique window shopping (cheetah rawr),
some awesome jane addams book store browsing (how, do!),
some pumpkin spice cupcakes (yum!) and some chocolate lavender cupcakes (gross!),

some illini hockey (it's all your fault!),
some zombie action (grieve, sister, grieve),
and some muddy corn maze fun (E.T. PHONE HOME!).

yesterday was boston
i dreamt mitty died again last night, only it was much more violent and traumatic. i was hysterical and trying to get him to the vet just so they could put him down (it was odd because in the dream, i remembered his actual death and how easy it was in comparison to what he was going through at that moment and i just wanted that quick painless death for him).
i really hope my mom gets another cat, especially now with everything she's going through. it would be nice to have someone with her at all times....plus i would probably visit like, every other day.
lots of fall fun to look forward to...
trivia wednesdays
road trippin to urbana and cruisin to classic rock
vietnamese comfort foods (who wants to try Pho 777 in Uptown with me?)
metal concerts and new friends
hallowinona and my bear hat
elusive productivity when it comes to gre and grad apps
australia and new zealand...right around the corner...

...bells are ringing
last month i attended two weddings.
at wedding #1, i got to hangout with my bff casey, her baby ben, and her fiance matt. i've gotten to hangout with them on a couple of occasions, but it was at this wedding that i really saw how awesome their little family is and i got really excited for her. plus, BABIES dig me.
i didn't know a ton of people at this wedding, but i did get stalked by a creepy hand-holder dude, danced with my old cross country coach, re-created some amazing photos with casey and meggie, and had an all around great time.

wedding #2 made me cry. church parking was non-existent so i had to run (trot) 3 blocks in my 3 inch heels to the church, and made it just in time to watch (from the back of the church) the wedding procession march down the isle. man, i was already tearing up just watching casey's sisters, niece, nephew, and son go down the isle...but when she came out on her father's arm...there was just no stopping it. i love casey like a sister, so this was a pretty big deal to me. the whole ceremony was so joyous...and watching her and matt...and, well, it was just the first time that i really felt connected to the whole process and truly excited for her.
the reception was great, both from the participator point of view (dance dance dance!) and from the observer point of view. more pictures, more laughs, and more dancing, and by the time the clock struck 11:30 and they kicked us out, i was ready to go home. best wedding ever, and i can say this even though it was about as standard as you can get because it's truly the people and the connections to each other that make a great wedding.
caleb and cass: i can't wait for yours :)
